i would like to poll the audience on what your thoughts on css is. do you know about it? what is it? is it better than what we have? how in the world do i use it?
my next question is has anyone found a site that tells you the different colors for the site i could use?
now that i have asked twenty questions, we will see if i get twenty answers. =)
maybe i'm dense. i thought we implemented css. ask kammer. a wookie knows everything.
i googled for this a few weeks ago and have bookmarked it since with much success.
COLOR TABLE

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. And I'm too slothful to explain so....
This link is where I got the basics:
http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
BUT!
Learn HTML during or prior:

NOW.
If you're messing around with moveable type, your CSS junk is going to be done in your STYLESHEET. (I believe you've toyed with it before) Look through that a little bit and get oriented with how it's formatted.
*braces for barrage of questions
Posted by: Kammerwocky at November 3, 2003 09:19 PMi am so glad you are braced cause questions are bound to come!!! like, joy, how did you get the floating text box when you hover over some things on your site? is it the href thing and then title? or what? and are there more colors? there has to be a bunch! i would love to mess around with colors....and where can i get different design plans? i went to one site and found a part where there was stuff like nesting and all that good stuff.
Posted by: hill at November 4, 2003 01:30 PMI see you've found the stylesheet....
Chocolatey nav bars.
that's sort of like an alt-tag but not really. here's the code for making your links that way. pretty simple addition:
whatnot
Posted by: joy at November 4, 2003 04:29 PMok, so here's the code without the href and "" business:
http://www.bensfriends.com/whatnot/" title="hillary hoagland the great godby-maimer">whatnot
and then just finish it off with a like usual.
