Here's the latest on my sister. There's a short write-up from my Dad, below, and pictures on the second page. Please be advised that the pics are not for the squeamish or the faint-of-heart. They're no worse then prime time television, but the face is more familiar.
From Dad:
Here are the facts. Heart rate has fluctuated from 53 to 105, so their
watching that. Nothing to worry about, just very interesting.
She has a headache...no surprise there. And she's still a little confused,
probably because of the medicine.
They will move her to a room on the neurosurgery floor about 5:00 today.
She's had clear liquids and will be moving up to a liquid diet (ice cream,
soup....) Depending on how that goes, she may be able to try soft foods in
a day or so. Her jaw hurts very badly from where they cut the muscles
around her jaw, so chewing is still a problem.
She's in good spirits, no changes there, but she's still confused. Could
be medicine, could be because someone's been messing with her brain.
All in all, we're seeing progress.
to me. :)
Stephanie and I found out two weeks ago that we were expecting--and we mean that in all the possible happy-young-couple-approximately-one-month-along ways.
Our car died yesterday/today.
Last night we heard a "kur-chunk" and our power steering died.
Today, we were planning on driving it to church and then my parents house, but we ended up stopping in a Bi-Lo parking lot because the steering was worse than before. When I opened the hood, I found the serpentine belt in a heap just to the left of the engine. At some point it had mutinied and left the rest of the car to fend for itself.
We'll be hiring a mechanic soon to do some intra-car reconciliation.
Update 2006-5-22:

My Dad, Doug Young, was featured this week in the Greenville News. If you missed grabbing a copy, you can still read the article online: Young tries to capture the moment. There some history in the article in case your curious about how Mr. Young got his start.
Enjoy.
New logos are inspiring. I don't recoment changing them too often, but it's good and necessary every now and then.
The first TheIdeaMan logo was designed when I was in high school, in English class. The new one (drawn tonight) was made by my wonderful wife.
She didn't intend for it to become so "famous." There's something about that drawing, though, that sums up who I am right now, just like the old logo represented who I was at that time.
