Here's the latest on my sister. There's a short write-up from my Dad, below, and pictures on the second page. Please be advised that the pics are not for the squeamish or the faint-of-heart. They're no worse then prime time television, but the face is more familiar.
From Dad:
Here are the facts. Heart rate has fluctuated from 53 to 105, so their
watching that. Nothing to worry about, just very interesting.
She has a headache...no surprise there. And she's still a little confused,
probably because of the medicine.
They will move her to a room on the neurosurgery floor about 5:00 today.
She's had clear liquids and will be moving up to a liquid diet (ice cream,
soup....) Depending on how that goes, she may be able to try soft foods in
a day or so. Her jaw hurts very badly from where they cut the muscles
around her jaw, so chewing is still a problem.
She's in good spirits, no changes there, but she's still confused. Could
be medicine, could be because someone's been messing with her brain.
All in all, we're seeing progress.
