the one I always hid from you
   and gave to others?

did you find that friend?
did it cost you more clothes?
another iMac?
   or something greater?

matt, rory, friend,
forgive me for keeping love from you
for guarding it in the tomb of my mind
  to keep for another less grateful:
  myself.

That's good, Ben. The truth speaks. Too many of us reach out too little to people who don't match our cookie cutter perceptions, and we are very guilty.
