hmmm...i just recently saw this film. i'm curious to know what you thought. i was touched and angered. i thought the little girl was amazing and heart-breaking, but the overall message subversive. it acutely portrayed some of the ridiculous religious farces humans cultivate, and touched on themes of child-like faith and what-not; but at the same time, it didn't seem to go far enough with the truth, if it even meant to. i watched it over a couple of days, though, which is never a good idea with a film, especially a foreign one (the kind that involve actual creativity and message, as opposed to the American, "I, Robot" variety...) i should probably rent it again and watch it all the way through, and not at 3am. well, maybe at 3am...whatever, just curious as to anyone else's thoughts/opinions...despite any other criticisms, I have to say it was abeautiful film on many levels.

It was a beautiful film. The odd sweater thing at the end really through off the meaning of the film and left a rather dark whole. I'll ponder it some more and hopefully post more thoughts as I have them.
Thanks for the comment.
