Soccer Coach
I have the awesome opportunity to coach for the Furman Youth Soccer Club. My boss, Bill Martin, is the head coach for Furman Youth and he asked me take a U-10 girls team. This is my first time ever coaching and I'm having a blast!
My team, the Shooting Stars, is made up of eight wonderful 8 & 9 year olds: Monica, Micaela, Abbey, Caroline, Shea, Whitney, Alison, and Caitlin.
We've been training for a couple of weeks and we just had our first two games this past weekend. We lost both of them, but it was a huge learning experience. I think that the girls did great considering that half the team hadn't played soccer before and this was the first time they played together. They had a great time, despite the loss, and that's all that matters.
It's really cool to see how God has made each and every one of them unique.
