Posted by: Adam Bailie at June 30, 2003 01:36 PMI wonder if there is a way to get this thing on your desktop.
Posted by: Evan at June 30, 2003 01:42 PMUNBELIEVABLE
Posted by: Michael Whitcomb at June 30, 2003 02:39 PMand the answer is...yes, Ev. but it might get annoying fast. i'm sure the greater minds than mine might scoff at or, better, present a more efficient way of doing it, but i saved the web page (as an HTM) onto my desktop (just for convenience), then right-clicked on the desktop, went to the properties option, then the desktop tab, and there i clicked browse, selected the saved HTM file, and set it as my desktop. (actually, i also opened it in frontpage (sorry ben) so i could edit out the text in the top left corner.)
alternatively, maybe it would have worked to choose "customize desktop" under the properties tab, clicked the web tab, and then put in the URL. but i didn't try it.
Somebody was very bored. 8o)
I'm glad you figured out how to put it on the desktop, David. Sorry I didn't reply to your e-mail sooner. I need to check it more often... 8o)
Posted by: Benjamin at June 30, 2003 04:20 PMyep on the boredom thing. i was thinking that if somebody had that much time on their hands, they should come here and work the MC for me so i could go home. :-)
Posted by: david at June 30, 2003 04:26 PMMaybe a better option than putting the HTML on your desktop would be to get a real clock. I've got an extra one if you need it. But I do have to admit, it was pretty cool!
