I went out this morning for a bike ride and decided to take cameras.
Psalm 1 was going through my head a lot of the time I was down by the lake. It was beautiful.
After Stephanie's beautiful attempt at drawing (see also this post), I feel encouraged to post my first attempt. I saw this picture on a website and tried to draw it. I've never drawn anything before, so you can imagine I was pleased that one can tell it is actually an elephant...with a mohawk, but yes, an elephant.
Another universe/verse.
9You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth,
And called from its remotest parts
And said to you, 'You are My servant,
I have chosen you and not rejected you.
10'Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'
~ Isaiah 41:9-10 (NAS)
I made several universe/verses to remind me of the greatness of God when I was in college. I used them as my screensaver. Here is one of my favorites.
10b "Blessed are You, O LORD God of Israel our father, forever and ever.
11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name."
~ 1 Chronicles 29:10-13 (NAS)
