This past Saturday I was introduced to the wonderful art of carving finely contoured lines into shimmering green waves of grass. Yep, I learned how to . . .
mow a lawn. Maybe some of you already have your MAs in lawnmowing, but I'm in kindergarten, okay? No, I've never mowed a lawn before. My two big brothers always mowed, and now that I live in the city, there's no grass. Brian's dad taught me how to use the rider mower . . . let's just say that for starters, I couldn't even push the break pedal all the way down. (Hooray for short people!) My question for you is: "What's the most artistic and poetic way to describe mowing the lawn?" As a writer, I'd be interested to hear what you have to say . . .
Posted by whitechocolate at June 17, 2004 10:34 AMI'm not a writer, so I'm not interested in what I have to say. Except--welcome back, Beth. It's good to read you again. :- )
