I said yes to working in Bellis as a GA for the next two years. Now starts the process of contracts, insurance, and stuff and intricacies that I don’t even know about yet. Now starts the next two years of my life with getting a second degree in Dramatic Productions, and then on to getting my Masters in Fine Arts.
It was weird how this all came together. I was in Bellis making some transparencies for a speech I had that day and just asked out of curiosity if they were still looking for someone to fill their GA position. They said yes they were, but they did say they wanted a guy to do a lot of grunt work. Anyway, they remembered me from the Ministry Market thing, but they hadn’t seen my name come up on the approved list. I told them it was there. A few days later I got an email to set up an interview and when I went it seemed like they wanted me to say yes on the spot. I told them I needed time to think about it.
Everyone I asked, everyone, said it was a great opportunity and I would love the job and fit right in. Everyone. Not a single person said wait and think about it, or be cautious. In fact, I had a couple of people, mainly my teachers who knew about it, say be bold and not timid.
And to tell you the truth, I was a bit scared about saying yes to something that would commit me for the next two years.
But God has given me the grace to see no matter what I decide to do, I am still His and He knows what He has in store for me.
