Spam and the Future

As many of you already know, Ben's Friends (the web site) is getting hit by spam pretty hard these days. We went through this a while back and tried several solutions and none of them were ideal. For the time being, I'm using one of those old methods to daily remove all the spam it can find. I apologize that you'll likely still get these in your inbox. Please just delete them for now.

There's a brighter future ahead, though.

BigBlueHat, my company, is building blogging into the BlueInk content management system. When that's ready for prime time (hopefully soonish), I'll be making a central BlueInk installation to manage all of Ben's Friends and convert anyone over to a BlueInk blog that wants/needs one.

I appreciate all those who have hung around these past years as the technology that runs this site has gotten long in the tooth. At the end of the day I built to many "extras" into ye olde Movable Type. It's this kind of branching of projects and finding oneself alone with a customized monster that finally lead BigBlueHat to build BlueInk.

So, all that to say. Thanks for hanging around, and look for more here soon.
