Life is never without change. Unfortunately, change is never comfortable. Even when we welcome it, we chaff against the reformatting of our lives. We struggle to maintain our balance, to pertuate sameness where there must be difference.
Our comfort in change, however, is this. One Person remains constant throughout and He is the initiator of every change. Nothing happens, from the smallest interruption in a busy schedule to a major life decision, that He does not initiate. If He, the Creator of the Universe, the Savior of our souls speaks a word, then our lives must change and with that change must and will come the revision of our wills, the reconstruction of our faith, the resurrection of our joy.
"Be still and know that I am God", I hear Him say (when I'm listening). "Be calm and learn that I am God." translates the English Version for the Deaf. Learning takes time and while I'm learning, I must rest and trust.
"Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of what Thou art. I am finding out the greatness of Thy loving heart."
