As the newest blogger on the block, I feel compelled to explain my presence. I am by providential appointment Ben's oldest friend. I did not choose him, nor he me, but God chose before time began that I would be his mother.
I realize that not all mothers are considered friends by their children, but Ben and I have been blessed to have not only the relationship of mother and son, but of kindred spirits. I was reminded of that again when Ben asked me to be part of bensfriends.com, to share my thoughts as a friend and not just a mother.
I have chosen the name Aratur for my blog because of it's definition, for it is here that I wish to share the results of the ploughing of my mind and heart, the loosening of the soil of my soul by the Holy Spirit as He prepares my heart so the Word of God can grow richly and bear fruit, the fruit of the Spirit.
At the end of each day when the ploughing is done, a farmer looks out over his fields and finds pleasure in the result of his labor. May you at the end of each day see clearly the hand of the divine husbandman in the fields of your life and may you rejoice with Him in what has been accomplished.
